I Believe in Auburn and Love It!

Just because I got a request for a blog post (sorry UGA friends :)), I am going to post on this.  The.most.amazing.ending.of.a.game.ever.  Brian and I were sitting in a bar, biting our nails, I am thinking the game is over, Brian is pumped up, and low and behold the UGA receivers tip it right into our hands.  And we scored.  Of the bar of ten people, Brian and I jump up and down, celebrating, and screaming.  I think we converted all the Jayhawk fans in the bar into Auburn fans.  So, in honor of that win... Here you go.  And, bring on Alabama!

War damn eagle... fly down that field!

National Geographic

This is maybe one of the coolest videos I have ever seen in my entire life.  Growing up, when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would answer "A National Geographic photographer."  Obviously, that didn't pan out.  But, some people get to do it, and they take awesome pictures and have awesome experiences.  For those of yall that haven't seen this video yet (click on the photo!), it is a must.  How cool is this?  To come face to face with an animal like this?  I think it is pretty incredible, and it always makes me thankful for such amazing creatures!

The Southern Wind Sings Again

Back in the South, and I could not be happier.  I LOVE the accents, LOVE the food, and LOVE the wet blanket of humidity that envelops you.  Zac Brown Band has got it right... "The Southern Wind Sings Again an Island Lullaby."  I prefer to think that the song says, The Southern Wind Sings Again another Lullaby... we will stick with that because I of course thought those were the correct lyrics.  AND, just because I love my sister and am happy to be reunited with her (and excited to meet her boyfriend TOMORROW, I think she is excited for him to get here too.  I will be dancing on Wednesday when Brian gets here!!)...

End of July

This post won't be too exciting, but it'll get everyone caught up with recent Lawrence happenings.

Brian and I have decided to be healthy... meaning eating healthy and exercising.  We bought enough food to eat healthy for a week, and we have achieved that goal (so maybe we can go a couple more).  We also have been exercising almost every day.  So, go us!

Here is a recipe that we concocted one night, it is a delicious corn and avocado salsa.  Here is the link to the recipe... http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeId=142551

We had Kelley over for dinner.  As you can see, Mallard joined us on the table for dinner :)

For all of my Athens friends, I found a place that makes cookies that literally tastes like Take the Cake's cakes.  They are like a little slice of Heaven.  I couldn't be happier that I found this place, and it is only $4 for a dozen.  Wahoooo!

Having morning coffee on the side porch with the pups.  The girls love their perch.  They are such good watchdogs.  And, I have learned that a screened-in side porch is a LOT better than a front porch.  I have sat on it and eaten on it a lot more than I ever did on my front porch at the old house.

Two more things...

I bought cat food accidentally instead of dog food... whoops.

Poor Mallard's right side of her face is swollen and inflamed, and she has a ruptured eardrum.  So, I have been at the vet the past couple of days.  Good thing I got my previous deposit back.  She is racking up the vet bills.  She is quite the problem child, but she is the BEST, sweetest puppy dog ever (besides Lola of course)!

Big Reveal

My best friend since 6th grade is getting married!!!  I cannot wait to be a part of her special day with her beau Ryan at her side.  Did I mention that they were set up on a blind date?  And during this blind date, the boat broke down in which Heather had to jump into the lake to help push it?!?  They are definitely meant to be :)  So happy and excited for you!  Love you friend!
