About Me

I was born in the ATL and raised in Athens, GA.  Raised in Bulldog country, but I claim no allegiance except for maybe UGA tennis.  I do claim allegiance to the Auburn Tigers.  War Eagle.  As a child, my siblings and I would explore behind our house in our "creek" in which we would discover indian artifacts.  Today I recognize those artifacts as concrete slabs.  But they were and are still special none the less.  I have two wonderful parents - Thomas (you must pronounce the "th") and Jen.  They are great.  I have seen great love and have experienced great love from them.

My little sister Kelly is the girl on the right (top photo).  Most people would think Kelly was me.  But she's not.  She is 4 years younger than me.  I have grown accustomed to accepting the compliments, meant for Kelly, of playing well in volleyball matches.  She is wonderful.  A best friend.  You need to meet her.  You would LOVE her and she would LOVE you.  She is at Birmingham Southern these days tearing it up on the volleyball court.  My brother Scott is wonderful as well.  He is my little buddy.  He plays tennis at Samford, and I never cease to be proud of him.

Here is the entire family at Kel's graduation.

I am MARRIED to this boy.

His name is Brian.  We met dancing at a birthday party April 2010.  (We actually had a freshman English class together.  I remembered him.  He has now admitted that he did not remember me.  Cool.)  Started running together, swimming laps together, he came to visit me at camp, and the rest is history.

We have two dogs.  Lola and Mallard.

Those two grew up, Brian and I graduated, and we moved to Park City, UT to become ski instructors at Park City Mountain Resort.  It was a dream come true for me, and ocean boy met mountains!  The dogs LOVED the snow!

We now live in Kansas.  In the middle of the country.  I study at the University of Kansas working first towards my PhD in Applied Behavioral Sciences.  There is no place like home, that's for sure.
